Now, what all techniques do we have in SEO?One is WHITE HAT SEO – This involves all the methodologies that are agreed to and followed by the search engines (about which we are going to discuss today).Second is BLACK HAT SEO – This type of SEO involves all the techniques that are not approved by the search engines.

And the last one is GRAY HAT SEO – It is a combination of above two techniques.

Further SEO is of two types: On page Optimization and OFF Page Search Engine Optimization. On page Optimization is one in which we make changes in our website to make it search engine friendly and off page involves link building and all such other techniques.

We’ll be discussing On page in how to search engine optimization part 1 today.

Whenever you start SEO for your site, the first step would involve the analysis of your website. Try answering all these questions for this step: What all services or products are you offering? Who is your target audience? What would be their age group? What kind of a website look will attract them? What is your target location? Is your business going to be searched for in that specific location?

After completely analyzing your personal web site, start searching for your competitors. Who all are your competitors? From how long have they been into the market? What all services or products are they offering? What all keywords are they targeting? How well are people responding or getting engaged with them?

Now that you have a clear idea of your site and your competitors’ sites, move on to the keywords research. This research would include searching the keywords for all the services or products, for all types of meta tags, for the content and so on. This can be done with the help of many available online tools. Well, I prefer Google trends and Google keyword planner tool for the same.

Not going in any particular order, sitemap is extremely important for your site, from the point of view of both, the users as well as crawlers. So, you site must have a html as well as xml sitemap. Sitemaps help crawl your site better and better are the chances of increased ranking of your web site. For users as well, if they want to search anything on your site, they can directly go to sitemap and directly visit the desired product. Also, the ultimate aim of search engines is to give a good experience to its users. Therefore, search engines consider the presence of sitemap on the site as a very important factor.
