Quality Checklist

  • Alignment: Go-Designy ensures that none of the data or the images are altered or cut off and the components must lie within the safety zone.
  • Measurement: The size and the measurement of the text or the images must meet the criteria being set for executing the Print command.
  • Resolution: To ensure that the clarity and the resolution of the image is maintained; check that the image must be set at 300 dpi.
  • Bleed: We make sure that the artwork lies between the bleed line as well as the cut line for appropriate finishing.
  • Double Crop Marks: We always make sure that the crop marks are not doubled. Ensure that the image is center aligned and the crop marks are not visible as otherwise they can appear on the final print.
  • Watermarks: Watermarks are the translucent or a see-through image or logo imprinted on the paper to make it unique and sometimes legal. The printed piece is being inspected for checking the watermarks.
  • Image Clarity: Go-Designy printing professionals also take care of the print quality. High precision printouts are produced and the emphasis is laid over proper alignment and settings.
  • Orientation: The artworks are set in the right direction and the image is being checked to see if the image appears upside down, upward or backward. It is accurately positioned and then print command is being executed.
  • Key Lines: We ensure that the key lines must not appear in the image print results.
  • Hole-Drills: For door hanger, booklets and other similar products, we make sure that the hole is accurately placed on the printout.
  • Color Options: For each and every printout, Go-Designy print professionals make sure that the color options are selected in accordance with the client specifications. The different color options being offered are 4/4, 4/1 and 4/0 which is ‘both sides colored’, ‘front side colored and black & white rear’ and ‘front side colored and blank rear’ respectively.
  • High Resolution Proofing: We check the CMYK values against the Pantone Color palette to ensure resolution and color clarity.
  • Unlawful Images: Go-Designy strictly avoid printing illegal and unlawful images. Also, the copyright images are not printed at any cost for an unauthorized purpose.
  • Color Accuracy: Go-Designy offers accurate color contrasts and proficiency to a possible extent. This sometimes requires mixing different colors and shades to produce an accurate shade. For example: for a jet black print result, only black color would not do, in fact, the ‘rich black’ can be used to get more defined results.
  • Perforation: The Score Placement and the Perforation are properly checked before executing the print.
  • Borders: For an 3/8 inch artwork, the measurement for borders must be 1/8 inches” bleed and 1/4 inches” thick.
  • Paper Quality: We use an appropriate paper stock that best matches the product to produce high precision and accurate print results.
  • Foil Stamping: For embossing as well as the foil stamping, the paper weight, type and standard plays an important role, so it is important to select an appropriate option.
  • Appropriate Filenames: Always ensure to provide appropriate names to the file. Keep the name of the file maximum to 30 characters and make sure that the filename comprises of the letters and the numbers.
  • Adjustment: It is not always effective to give high resolution settings to the file that needs to be printed, it may result in unwieldy document. The resolution must be adjusted as per requirement while executing the print command.
  • Trust Software: While making adjustments for hue, saturation, contrast, manipulations, etc. always trust the software and not the screen. Reduce discrepancies by making right color corrections and other adjustments.
  • Layouts: Avoid to keep the text, logos or images nearby or through the die-cut slit segments. Always keeps the print components within the 1/8 inch safe zone.
  • Compatible Software: Always edit the design elements that have to be printed using the compatible and reliable software applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, etc.
  • Embed Images: Send the files by packaging or embedding them altogether in a zip file for printing.
  • Proofreading: If you need to print a text file, ensure that it undergoes proofreading stage to avoid any grammatical or punctuation mistakes.
